Landscaping with stones

Spring is here, what landscaping ideas do you have in mind?
Many people don’t realize the kind of beauty they can achieve with larger stones in garden design. Apart from building, you can use them for decoration. They come off so well because they are asymmetrical. So for a stylish look, combine them with other small and medium sized stones.
If you can, look out for different stone colors for a perfect combination.
Another idea would be to design a bench and stone figures for a perfect look. When used in a garden, stones bring a more natural look and a popular aesthetic. They give some of the best artistic views when designed well and in the right sizes. They are also easier to work with and maintain.
Here are other few design ideas you could try…
Borders with stone walls
You can design beautiful borders for your fence, garden or walkway using wall stone. Look for beautiful large pieces to give you a firm wall. The height will depend on what you want to achieve and the size of the plants. If your plants are not too big, don’t design such a high wall to overshadow them.
Think about a mixture of stone walls and stone slabs. This will give you variety for different spaces. Crushed stone walls or 3 and 6 sizes could go well with this idea, alongside brightly colored flowers.
A perfect walkway
Connect different points of interests in your home using a walk away. In place of trampling down the lawn and creating a makeshift pathway of dried grass between the patio, garden or fire pit, use crushed stone, gravel, concrete stepping stones, decorative brick or natural flagstone. If you can, use a stone that is close to what you used for your exterior. This will tie the aesthetics of the home together.

Decorated area
Instead of living your plants exposed, you could fill and decorate the soil with 3 and 6 stones. They can also be used for the bare areas between trees and plants even in a garden bed. Think about having your flower pots sit on well-laid stones. You could try out screened fill for this. The idea is to contrast the color of the pots and that of stones.
There is so much you can explore with this one whether it is a garden or a walkway. Where you have mature grass, you could cut out some patterns and decorate them with marvel. If not that, use the Japanese decoration style where you design a small water point fenced by large stones and decorated with marvel inside. It should come out in a form of beautiful small pieces just settled between large stones and some plants along the way.
